I made that video last year for folks having trouble. I also collected several other video links into a thread here.

Blaze's second video of the Bone Pits may be helpful if you are experiencing lag, but there's little you can do if your connection drops. You're effectively running blind and your eyes are lying to you.

Rubber band the worst F N thing in Guildwars, 5 Reapers down last 2 easy since i know my way in those areas and I get rubber band back to mobs I turned friendly.......

That video and guides are nice, the quest is not really that hard over all, but if you lag out you are pretty much fu**ed, and GW servers are very unstable nowadays, making these quests nearly impossible for this Halloween

Thats why I think they should change/adapt it.

I hope the quests for this years arent the stupid solo quests...was never able to do the pits for that quest last year (more than 40 tries...am just not fast enough to click move, pick new target use mouse, etc all at the same time).
It was so frustrating last year I almost punched my computer

so I hope they dont do it again . (and no the youtube vid helped not at all, yes I realize it can be done, thanks for sharing).

that what i felt last year but i got thru this year.

I think they should look into it to tweak it abit.

Same here. I just nailed the Reaper quest on my first try. There was one point where I got down to 88 hp, but that was because I was typing and didn't see two Aatxes in front of me. xD

It's easy if you utilize your KD skill and don't rely on speed boost and the Mad King's skill.

Did it with 3 toons but it was one of the most frustrating quests i've ever did. here is a screenshoot of a fail:

My charr is quite far from the behemoths and i have an axe equipped , so they couldnt do enough dmg to kill me.

The most annoying thing about this quest are two things, rubberband and you cannot do the follow up quests which are way easier :/

I find it alot easier to attempt the bones pitts first then go clockwise from there

Auuggghhhhh what a godawful quest! Took me 10 tries. I didn't have the, uh, pleasure of trying this last year so it was a whole new painful experience for me this time 'round.

It takes at least a few goes to learn the patrols, and even then it's pot luck in the Pits sometimes. Add lag into the equation and it's fun times, fun times . . .

If you don't lag or rubberband its so easy. I timed myself at 20 minutes for the quest other day and thats without any consumables. you have 5 seconds downtime with what is otherwise an "I win" key and a super fast recharge 10 second knockdown skill for any tight spots. Only way to fail is with lag, impatience or inexperience.

Lag was killing me the last couple of times, but I also noticed I just wasnt fast enough on other tries. Not as fast as I used to be

In addition to what's been said above... Don't try to pass by the enemies to close. Give them a wide bearth and it will help avoid rubberbanding.

I have one of the crappiest connections in guild wars (my guild mates can attest to that) and I still finished it on 10 chars with no real troubles.

Also helps if you know your way around UW I guess.
